N-able
Two platforms we run every day: N-central for monitoring and patching, Cove for backup.

What it is
N-able publishes a broad catalogue. We focus on the two we run at scale and know properly: N-central, the RMM platform our NOC watches, patches, and remediates from, and Cove Data Protection, a direct-to-cloud backup service that needs no local backup appliance. In both cases the value is almost entirely in the configuration rather than the install, which is why we implement and tune them rather than simply passing licences through.

Core capabilities
- N-central: monitoring, alert thresholds, and automated remediation scripts
- N-central: patch management with staged rings and approval windows
- N-central: secure remote access and unattended support sessions
- Cove: direct-to-cloud backup for servers, workstations, and Microsoft 365
- Cove: retention policy, restore reporting, and recovery testing
How ClearPath helps: three ways to engage
Design & architect
For N-central we build the monitoring set around actionable alerts only: a tiered severity model, patch rings with a pilot group, and remediation scripts for the failures that repeat. For Cove we start from the recovery objective per workload and design retention around it, rather than putting everything on one schedule and hoping it suits.
Deploy & migrate
N-central agents roll out by device group, with thresholds tuned over the first month and an alert-to-action review, so the noise level drops instead of accumulating. Cove is enabled per workload and proved with a real restore before it is called done, because an untested backup is a claim rather than a protection.
Licensing & resale
N-central is licensed per device and Cove per workload, both through us. Most clients take them inside a managed agreement, where the tuning, the monitoring, and the restore testing come with the licence rather than being a separate conversation.
N-able guides and brochures
See the whole libraryBest fit: when we recommend it
- Environments with no consistent patch evidence or reporting
- Internal IT teams that need monitoring without building a NOC
- Sites where a local backup appliance is impractical, or has already failed
- Microsoft 365 tenants relying on nothing beyond Microsoft's own retention
